What's Happening at Our Church

Every Sunday

We gather for worship at 11:00 a.m. Worship begins with the ringing of our church bell.

First Sunday of each month

We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month. All baptized Christians are invited to partake.

Second Sunday of each month

We hold a short fellowship hour after our service on the second Sunday of each month. The hour features sweet baked items prepared by members of the church.

Third Sunday of each month

Scottsville Presbyterian has both active Presbyterian Women's and Presbyterian Mens groups. Each group meets on the third Sunday of each month at 9:30 a.m.

The Women meet in the church office across the street for Bible study. The Women also sponsor an annual rummage and bake sale in the late spring.

The Men meet in a local restaurant for breakfast and lively discussion of current affairs as seen from the persective of the Christian faith.

First Monday of each month

The Session, the governing board of the church, meets for its monthly meeting on the evening of the first Monday of each month. The Session meets in the church office.

Special worship services

The church holds several special worship services as special days come up in the church year. They include an Ash Wednesday service to begin Lent (hold jontly with St. Anne's Episcopal Parish), a Maundy Thursday service during Holy Week, and a late evening Christmas Eve candlelight service.
